Sometimes your device may have difficulty powering on, or may crash to the extent that a 'Hard Reboot' is required to get it operational again.
1. First hold down the power button until the device goes off.
2. Now disconnect any power leads.
3. Now flip your laptop over and remove the battery by releasing the lock clip and flipping or sliding it out.
4. With no power or battery connected attempt to power it on two or three times.
NB: Nothing will happen, but this has been known to discharge any capacitors and reset the mainboard.
5. Now reconnect the battery and the power and attempt to boot.
If your laptop is still unable to BOOT or POST please advise the IT Team that the above steps have been taken.
