So let's say, for example, there's a Word document, or a PowerPoint file or an Excel spreadsheet that you've been working on, and you've mistakenly deleted some of the data from it, or maybe the file has corrupted. What do you do?!
Well, if that file was saved on your OneDrive, or perhaps your School’s OneDrive, then you can restore it using the Version History facility.
Here’s how…
- Locate your file in the relevant OneDrive
- Hover your mouse pointer to the right of the file's name and click the three dots symbol (labelled "Show actions")
- From the resulting menu, click "Version History"
- Now, to check an earlier version of the file, click the three dots symbol to the right of the “Modified Date” column and select "Open File" from the menu.
- If this version is OK then you can either save it under a different name or go back to the “Version History” list and this time select "Restore"
