Sometimes your web browser will exhibit signs of idiocy which is defined in the Oxford Dictionary as "extremely stupid behaviour", also elsewhere defined as "repeating the exact same action but expecting different results.

In other words, for example, a website which was previously down, but since rendered accessible, may still appear to be inaccessible because your browser has cached the "inaccessible" version and won't look at the new one.

Here's how to clear the cache in Google Chrome for the last day's browsin'

1. Open Google Chrome browser and click the three dots symbol (top right of the window) and select Settings from the menu

2. Type the word "cache" into the "Search settings" box at the top of the window

3. Scroll down the search results until you see the "Clear browsing data" section and click this

4. Click the Advanced option, change the Time range to "Last 24 hours", ensure all the tick boxes are ticked and then click the "Clear data" button
